1. The glue isn't curing properly.
✅ Check your lamp’s power and wavelength.
Make sure you're using a UV/LED lamp with at least 5W output and a wavelength range of 395–405 nm. Low power or incorrect wavelength can prevent proper curing.
2. The glue drop thickens or forms a film.
✅ Replace your drop every 15–20 minutes.
Even though UV glue cures with light, air exposure can still cause it to oxidize or thicken. Use a jade stone or glue ring and refresh your drop frequently for optimal performance.
3. Poor retention or lashes popping off.
✅ Ensure full light exposure.
The adhesive must be fully exposed to the curing light — even coverage is key. Angle the lamp carefully and don’t rush the exposure time. Make sure no shadows block the light.
✅ Check storage and shelf life.
Use glue within 12 weeks of opening, and store it upright, in a cool, dark place. Heat, light, or moisture can affect bonding power.
4. Fume sensitivity or client discomfort.
✅ Use minimal glue and cure immediately.
UV glues typically have low fumes, but overuse or delayed curing can cause mild irritation. Apply the right amount and cure to lock the glue in instantly.
5. Glue isn't bonding well to the natural lash.
✅ Prep lashes properly.
Always clean, prime, and fully dry the natural lashes before application. Oils or residue can block the glue from forming a secure bond.
6. Lashes are sticking together (stickies).
✅ Dont get adhesive on other lashes
Make sure you aren't getting adhesive onto any neighbouring lashes as this can cause stickies once the adhesive is exposed to the UV light, it will cure all lashes with adhesive.
